Uploading videos
To upload, click on the “Upload videos” button in the top right corner. Then go to the “Project Items” in Premiere, and select the clips you want to upload.
You can click “upload all” to upload all the clips at once.
Please note the following:
- Size: Video must be less than 2GB
- Duration: Video must be 4 seconds to 2 hours long.
- Video must be 360p-4k resolution. The quality of search results doesn’t depend on the resolution - a good rule of thumb is that if you can see it with your eyes, the AI will probably find it.
Transcoding
If your video is over 2GB, you will be given the option to transcode it. Clicking the transcode button will open up Adobe Media Encoder, and then generate a transcode version of the video. You will also be asked to pick a folder where you want your transcodes to be saved.
You can also upload a Premiere “sequence”, e.g. an edit that you have made, but not yet rendered. You will be asked to transcode the video, and then you will be able to upload it.
Indexing
Once the uploads are complete, our system indexes them for fast searching later on. This takes roughly a 1/3 - 1/2 of the duration of the videos(so if you upload 10 one hour videos, it should take roughly 20 - 30 minutes). Once indexing has begun, you can safely close the app and come back later.
Multicam
When SeekSequence inserts, it inserts from a clip that matches the name of what you uploaded. This can be any clip, including a multicam clip, and it will insert from the multicam onto your time line.
Premiere matching
Seek Sequence will insert based on the name of the uploaded clip. It will search through your project for a clip that matches the name of what you uploaded. It’s important that you have only one clip with a given name in your project. If you have multiple clips with the same name, the insert may not work as expected.
